Show more "Marian Murdoch Court is an attractive development in the village of Gedling, just seven miles from the centre of the bustling city of Nottingham. The village is peaceful but has excellent transport links and a range of local amenities. Gedling village has a programme of events throughout the year for residents to enjoy including the Gedling Gala, church social events and activities at the Community Hub.

There is a good range of local shops within easy reach including supermarkets, independent stores, doctors surgeries, churches and restaurants. There is also a dentist, hairdresser, craft shop, coffee shop, garden centre and newsagent. A new country park is being developed on a former colliery site and there is a golf course nearby. Buses run into Nottingham every 20 minutes from a stop just two minutes’ walk from the court and the village centre is just 10 minutes’ walk away.

The court has attractive gardens with lawns, flowerbeds, mature trees and a greenhouse where residents can grow their own vegetables and flowers. Residents are encouraged to get involved in the gardening if they choose and the court holds competitions for the best hanging baskets. The gardens attract a wide range of wildlife including birds, squirrels, foxes and dragonflies.

Our Court Manager Service is an important and integral part of Housing 21’s approach to supporting our residents. It is designed to offer support and security to the court and those residents on court who need it. The service is about promoting and encouraging individuals to maintain their independence in their own home.

Our Managers are also responsible for the day to day running of the court including looking after the Health & Safety, property management and resident engagement." Show less
