It is within easy access to a popular shopping area, Shields Road, Byker. There is a wide range of shops banks chemists post offices and so on and very regular public transport routes. The scheme consists of 34 one bedroom flats, while the annex at Avondale Rise consists of 14 one bedroom flats. The scheme has a large pond situated in the centre of the scheme with ample sitting areas.
