Manager's notes:"Roundhay", opened in 1983, is situated in a pleasant residential area about a mile from the town centre. It is a large, Edwardian house which has been sensitively adapted to cater for 7 residents, with separate accommodation for the House Manager.
All rooms have their own toilet and shower area, and two have a separate bedroom and living room.
Three more suites with separate bedrooms are planned for a courtyard extension which should be ready for occupation at the end of 2008 or beginning of 2009.
For the less mobile residents there are two Acorn stairlifts to the first floor rooms, and ramps at the main entrance and for access to the garden.
The house is surrounded by a large tranquil garden, with lawns, trees and shrub and flower borders. There is scope for residents to indulge in some gardening of their own, and in fine weather they can enjoy sitting and relaxing on the logia.
Info updated:21/02/2008.
