There is a wide range of equipment available to help elderly people feel safe and secure in their own home. Equipment may include door and window locks, door chains, smoke and fire detectors and intruder alarms. Telecare also offers a range of equipment linked to a community alarm service that can unobtrusively monitor the safety of older people and the security of their home. Equipment available includes pendant alarms, flood and heat detectors, fall detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, door exit sensors and pressure mats, carer alerts, and movement detectors.
