The Furzedown Project

Activities for older people in South London

What does it do?

Our aim is to improve the health, well-being and independence of our members . We provide a lively programme of social, educational, recreational and health promoting activities from our centre between 10.00am – 4.00 pm five days a week. In a typical week we offer 19 activity sessions, 13 of which are supported by our assisted transport service to allow the attendance of people with poor mobility.

We also offer a befriending service that offers home visits to people who find it very difficult to get out.

Who it is for?

The Furzedown Project was established in 1975 as a self-help, user led organisation. Our mission is to prevent social isolation among older people.
