What does it do?Gateshead Council provides a first class home meals service throughout the borough.

All aspects of the meals production are carefully monitored to make sure you receive a meal of the highest possible quality;

All meals are nutritionally balanced and prepared to the highest standards and most are delivered hot to your home;

We can also deliver a supply of frozen meals and desserts that can be reheated in your own home, so you can eat what you want when you want.

What it costs:

When your meals are delivered, there is a charge. The member of staff assessing your needs will tell you how much this will be. If the charge changes in the future, you will be informed in writing of the new price.

How to access or apply for it:

What to expect then:

Meals are delivered to your door. In some circumstances meals are delivered directly by domiciliary care workers. All council workers have an identity badge and you should ask to see it before letting anyone into your home.
