Eye Contact Club

What does it do?

The club has been meeting since 1995 and was started by a group of visually impaired people. It meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 1.00 – 3.00 p.m. at the Malden Centre, New Malden.
The club is run by visually impaired people for visually impaired people with the minimum of additional assistance.

The club has a varied programme of activities including, 10 pin bowling, swimming, trips (to Richmond Park, Hampton Court Palace by river, Kew Gardens, Ham House and an annual trip to the coast) lunches and evenings in local pubs and a Christmas lunch.

The Eye Contact Club is a support group and a focus group; the first part of each meeting is formal where future trips and activities are planned, the rest of the meeting is social.

Who it is for?

Visually impaired people living in Kingston upon Thames and surrounding areas. Membership age range currently covers between 20 – 80 years of age.

Local service (Kingston upon Thames).

What it costs:

Members pay £3.00 a year.
