Oxfordshire Assessment for Telecare Services

What does it do?

Telecare is a service that promotes independence, improves safety at home and provides reassurance for carers. It consists of a Lifeline unit, linked to a telephone and a personal pendant which is worn around the neck, on the wrist or attached to a belt. In addition there are a number of sensors which automatically monitor the home environment. These sensors are linked to the Lifeline unit, without the need for wiring, and they detect potential dangers such as smoke or overflowing water.
