The Hourly Visiting and Live-in Care service from Helping Hands enables those who wish to remain within the familiarity and comfort of home, the opportunity to do so. Offering unrivalled continuity and level of support our Cares can embrace personal care, companionship and housekeeping, balancing independent living with bespoke care needs.

Supported by a fully trained Carer who works to an individually designed care plan the outcome is one to one support with excellent continuity. All carers are directly employed by Helping Hands and work 5-8 weeks at a stretch.

Who it is for?

Our Live-in and Hourly Visiting care service is for anyone who needs a permanent means of support but who wishes to remain independent within their own home. We support young adults through to the elderly, working with physical disabilities and brain injury as well as conditions such as dementia, stroke, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy and motor neurone disease.

Local service (East Hertfordshire, Hertsmere, St Albans, Stevenage, Three Rivers, Watford, Welwyn Hatfield, Broxbourne, Dacorum, North Hertfordshire).

What it costs:

The cost of care is dependent on an individual assessment and level of need.

What to expect then:

Once you have spoken with our advisory team and received your information pack the next step is a free no obligation assessment where we come to the home to meet the family and the prospective client to be cared for. During this meeting we can answer any questions, inspect the property, discuss Care options and ascertain the level of care required.

This meeting will allow us to start preparing a bespoke Care Plan; this is the document that will detail all needs from medication, to mobility issues, to routines and favourite pastimes; this enables us to prepare an individual care package that meets your exact needs.
From this we will also be able understand the kind of carer you are looking for and work together to find a suitable match, both professionally and socially.
