Information and support for older people in care homes

What does it do?

Campaigns on behalf of care home residents in order to build positive relationships and influence public and professional opinion in the care home sector. The charity also provides help, support and information through its Helpline and other media,to help older people and their relatives make informed choices about standards of care in homes and associated issues when moving into care so people are informed about their rights and entitlements.

Who it is for?

Family, friend and Older people living in England, who are thinking of, or are already in care homes.

Where it is available?

National service (England, Wales).

What it costs:

The service is free but individual and corporate membership is available for an annual fee which will entitle members to attending events and meetings plus free newsletters.  

How to access or apply for it:

Via telephone, internet and the post.

What to expect then:

The opportunity and time to discuss their issue through with people that always put the needs of care home residents first and have the knowledge and experience to provide guidance on standards, legislation, rights and entitlements.
