Bexhill Dial-A-Ride

What does it do?

A door to door transport service using an adapted vehicle which provides easy access for passengers including wheelchair users. It can be used for shopping, visiting friends, appointments at Bexhill Hospital, hairdressers, theatre matinees etc within the local area.

Who it is for?

Anyone registered member living in the Bexhill area, regardless of age, with any type of disability that makes it difficult or impossible to use public transport.

Where it is available?

Local service (Rother).

What it costs:

The current suggested donation will be advised at the time of booking

How to access or apply for it:

Users will need to be members of Bexhill Caring Community (Details on our Website www.bexhillcaringcommunity.org)

Once you have registered you should call 01424 215116 at least 1 week before you require the service. Bookings are taken between 9:30am and 3.00pm on Monday to Friday. Outside office hours an answerphone is in operation. Dial-A-Ride will operate on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between the hours of 10am and 4pm.

Additional information:

If you require a helper, this person will travel free of charge provided that they are collected from the same address as the member.
