What does it do?We aim to promote independence, improve or maintain quality of life,
build up friendships by providing social contact and we also aim to meet
individual needs.
A wide range of social and leisure activities are available.
Increasingly, services will be provided in partnership between the
County Council and the voluntary or private sector so that skills and
resources can be shared and a wider range of older people supported.
The Community Wellbeing Centres intend to contribute to support
people’s recovery, help them remain in their own homes, prevent
isolation, provide specialist care for people with Dementia, give support and information to carers and support people with day-to-day tasks. |
Who it is for: Community Wellbeing Services are designed for people who have been
assessed as being frail or at risk and who prefer to continue living in

surrounding villages. It is open Mondays to Fridays. On Mondays and
Fridays the centre provides specialist places for customers with
Dementia. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays it provides a service
with 11 places on each day for people with a varied range of needs.
Lunch will be provided at a small cost. Hot and cold refreshments are
