The Blue Bus

What does it do?

The services operates a fully accessible mini bus, taking people who cannot use cars to daycare, to hospital, doctors and dentists appointments, for trips out to enjoy the scenery or go shopping, to reunions, weddings, go on holiday, to the seaside and for other social occasions.The vehicle has helped to ensure that local disabled, elderly and frail people have been able to enjoy a better quality of life that otherwise could be denied them.

Who it is for?

For local residents who are unable to use regular forms of public transport due to disability or factors associated with old age.

Where it is available?

Local service (East Devon).

What it costs:

It currently costs £5.00 per hour without driver and £12.00 with driver, both costs are plus 35 pence per mile towards fuel and service costs.
