What does it do?

Provides transport for more personal journeys for clients who have appointments at hospital, doctors, dentists or just require transport to visit friends. A team of volunteers who use their own cars to transport passengers to there required destinations.

Who it is for?

For anyone who is having difficulty using regular forms of public transport due to disability or factors associated with old age.

Where it is available?

Local service (South Hams).

What it costs:

The charge is 55p per mile from the passenger’s home to their destination and return home. If it is a single journey which does not involve you returning home immediately the charge is 70p per mile to help cover the cost of the driver returning home. If the journey is 3 miles or less then there is a minimum charge of £2.00.  At the end of the journey the driver will calculate the cost and advise the passenger who will pay the driver immediately and the driver will issue a receipt showing the money received.
