What does it do?
Provides for more individual one off journeys for the purpose of social visits, hospital visiting, doctors, dentists and chiropody appointments etc. Transport is provided by volunteer drivers using their own vehicles.
Who it is for?
For residents local to Okehampton and the surrounding area. Provides transport for the rurally isolated, elderly, and those who find it physically difficult to use conventional public transport.
Where it is available?
Local service (West Devon).
What it costs:
Passengers are charged mileage @ 50p per mile. There is a minimum charge of £3.50 for journeys of 7 miles or less.
How to access or apply for it:
Call 01837 55000. Service available 9.00am - 4.00pm Monday to Friday and at other times subject to the availability of a driver. Please give 48 hours notice
