What does it do?Apna Ghar meaning 'our home' provides day care Monday to Friday for physically and/or mentally frail older people from the local Asian Heritage communities. The centre, which has been designed to cater for specific cultural and religious needs is located within Bangor Street Community Centre and has a prayer room.

A freshly cooked halal or vegetarian meal is provided at lunchtime made from food stocks purchased from local reputable halal suppliers.

In addition to personal care services such as bathing, Apna Ghar offers a range of social and therapeutic activities including traditional games, music and Asian films.
