What does it do?
People can choose to attend the centre five days a week or on selected days to suit their lifestyle, the allocation of which is subject to availability and assessment.

Who it is for: Amberswood Day Centre in Hindley is for adults with learning disabilities living within the Wigan town centre, Hindley, Leigh, Atherton and Tyldesley areas. The service offers access to a variety of leisure, educational and developmental activities.
Where it is available:Local service covering: Wigan (Greater Manchester).
What it costs:There will be some cost but the actual amount you pay will depend on what services you receive.
How to access or apply for it:
The Department of Adult Services Central Duty Team is the first point of contact for all referrals and general enquiries. You can contact them from 8.45am to 8pm, Monday to Friday and 8.45am to 1pm Saturday on 01942 828777.
Additional information:When you contact us we'll discuss your situation over the phone and possibly arrange a visit to your home to work out with you the day centre that will be most suitable for you.
