Home Care

What does it do?

Home Care is arranged by Bolton Council. The type of service we can provide will vary from person to person, but can include helping you to get up and go to bed, help with personal care, collecting your pension, help with laundry, ironing, bed making and help with some domestic tasks.

Who it is for?

Home Care can be provided to adults of all ages who need support to live as independently as possible at home. We will look at your needs and your home circumstances to see if you qualify for the service. If you meet certain conditions, known as 'eligibility criteria', Home Care will be arranged. These conditions are the same for everybody - we don't discriminate because of your race or culture for example.

Where it is available?

Local service (Bolton).

What it costs:

You may get the service free of charge, but some people have to pay. Someone from the council will visit to check your benefits and fill in a form. This person will let you know what the charge will be, if any.
