What does it do?We provide a range of non-age specific services for those with a physical disability and/or sensory impairment. We help people access a range of services in our day centres and, wherever possible, within the wider community.
These may include:

high dependency care
outreach services
carers respite
educational services provided in partnership
IT suites
complementary therapies
training kitchens
dining
exercise and health promotion suite including heatwave infra-red sauna.

We provide a range of services for people living in County Durham who have a physical disability and/or sensory impairment and have been assessed as requiring a day service.

How to access or apply for it:

If you are interested in accessing day services please contact Social Care Direct on 0845 850 5010 and they will refer you to a social worker to carry out an assessment of need to decide if this is an appropriate service for you.
