Woodland Centre - Cedar Ward

What does it do?

Cedar Ward is a 16-bed unit providing mental health services to older adults with dementia. The main function of the ward is to offer
assessment and treatment to service users with varying degrees of behavioural problems. Cedar Ward is  the permanent home for four continuing care service users, the reamining 12 beds are for assessment and treatment.

Older adults with dementia in the Hillingdon area.

The service is free of charge.

How to access or apply for it:

It is a 24-hour service and most of our referrals come through one of three community mental health teams, with only a few through A&E at
Hillingdon Hospital. Our catchment area covers the whole of the London Borough of Hillingdon including Heathrow Airport.

Additional information:

Most of our patients are discharged to EMI residential or nursing homes, however a small number to return home with an intense package of care.
