What does it do?
The checks involve a crew visiting your home and giving advice, as well as fitting smoke alarms where necessary. Any resident within Lancashire can request one and they are completely free of charge.

Any resident within Lancashire can request a home visit.

Local service (Fylde, Hyndburn, Lancaster, South Ribble, West Lancashire, Wyre, Burnley, Chorley, Pendle, Preston, Ribble Valley, Rossendale).

The service is free.

To obtain a home fire safety check, please contact us by calling Freephone number 0800 169 1125 or enter your details online. Your local station (according to your postcode) will receive your request and contact you.
Additional information:
All home fire safety checks are carried out by employees of Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service who will show identification.
