What does it do?A home safety visit typically takes around 30 minutes to complete, during which you will be given advice on keeping your property safe from fire and planning an escape route. If required, your property can be fitted with free smoke alarms, with batteries that last up to 10 years for added peace of mind.
We also supply and fit alarms for people with sensory impairment, such as reduced eyesight or hearing.

Local service covering: Ashford, Canterbury, Dartford, Dover, Gravesham, Maidstone, Sevenoaks, Shepway, Swale, Thanet, Tonbridge & Malling, Tunbridge Wells (Kent).

The service is free.

To book your free home safety visit, call 0800 923 7000 (calls are free from BT landlines, calls from other providers and mobile phones may cost). Alternatively, you can email hsv@kent.fire-uk.org with your contact details and we'll get in touch.
