What does it do?

Mole Valley Life: Independent (Independence Technology) operated by Mole Valley District Council, promotes independence and dignity by offering easy to use, technological alarm solutions to vulnerable and older residents who may require assistance in their everyday lives. The service operates across the Mole Valley, Reigate and Banstead and Tandridge areas in partnership with Reigate & Banstead Borough Council and Tandridge District Council.

 

Providing help at the touch of a button 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This trusted, local and reliable monitoring service provides independence, security, and peace of mind at home for the vulnerable and elderly.

 

When in need, pressing the button on the community alarm, calls our friendly, Mole Valley Life Customer Services team based in Leatherhead, Surrey. Our operators have all the user's medical needs and pertinent information to hand, enabling them to respond appropriately, by contacting a family member or neighbour, or by calling the emergency services if a call for help is raised by one of our alarm holders.

 

As an addition, other environmental sensors that link through to the community alarm can protect the user within the home by sending an alert to our monitoring centre if activated. These include smoke and flood detectors, heat sensors and gas and carbon monoxide detectors.

 

Other specialist equipment is also available that can help the elderly and vulnerable stay independent for longer at home. These include pill dispensers, fall sensors, pressure mats, and chair sensors. GPS independence alarm devices are also available to use, allowing our trained operators to locate users if needed. These are ideal for those who are prone to falling unconscious or fitting, such as those with epilepsy or diabetes or those suffering from dementia.

 

Mole Valley Life: Independent is useful for anyone that lives alone in Surrey, boosting confidence and enabling independence in the vulnerable and older, whilst reassuring family and carers.
