 | What does it do?The Sam Beckman Special Day Care Centre offers a programme of stimulating activities for people who have memory impairment and/or a diagnosis of a type of dementia. Staff work in close partnership with volunteers, helping to offer a warm, friendly and Jewish environment for all members to enjoy. The centre offers a very high level of care for up to 25 people a day and clients can attend as many days as required dependent on their circumstances and places available. |

Hendon | What it costs: Please contact the organisation for more details. | How to access or apply for it: The centre is located in a quiet cul-de-sac just off Church Road, Hendon, near the Town Hall. It is a specially designed, bright, modern building with a secure, mature garden that is ideal for clients to use on warmer days.
The centre is open Monday - Thursday 9.30am - 3.15pm and Friday 9am - 1pm.
Referrals can be made directly by social workers, care managers, GPs, hospitals and families. This process is straightforward – please contact Jewish Care Direct on 020 8922 2222. | What to expect then: Care plans are negotiated for each client as part of our referral and assessment process. They are reviewed regularly so we can be certain the service meets the needs of the client and their carers.
