What does it do?Age UK (previously as Help the Aged) has been working with British Gas for 11 years. The multi-award winning partnership is widely regarded as a model of excellence within the field of corporate social responsibility.

Age UK Devon is one of just 11 regional organisations to receive a British Gas grant and we are using funds to promote the take up of welfare benefits and Winter Warmth advice in rural areas of Devon. We have organised 5 Winter Warmth information fairs around the County, distributed 1,500 benefits & winter warmth advice leaflets and helped 70 people to successfully claim £169,912.60 per year of additional benefits.

Complicated application forms can deter many of us from making applications for benefits, and this can result in people missing out on extra money that they are entitled to. Trained Age UK Devon advisers can help you identify any extra help or benefits you may be entitled to, and guide you through the process.
