- At the request of the client, visiting and reporting on the options available.
- Assistance in planning the move to later life housing or care – from start to finish.
- Helping people to understand and navigate their housing, care, and benefit needs.
- Including guidance on Supporting People and the Personalisation Agenda.
- Linking older people with other networks.

Who it is for: Older people, their families and carers. | Where it is available: Local service covering: Cheltenham, Cotswold, Forest of Dean, Gloucester, South Gloucestershire, Stroud, Tewkesbury (Gloucestershire). | What it costs: The service is part of FirstStop Advice, funded by Government, and is free. | How to access or apply for it: Contact FirstStop Gloucestershire by calling the FirstStop freephone Advice Line on 0800 377 70 70. We will then arrange an appointment for our Gloucestershire Advisor, Rosalind Barnes, to telephone you for an extended discussion, or where appropriate, to arrange to visit you at home. | Additional information: The service is normally available on:
- Tuesday 10am – 2pm
- Wednesday 3pm – 7pm
- Thursday 10am – 2pm
