What does it do?A bit of support can be priceless, like bringing in some shopping, picking up a prescription or pension or popping in to pay a bill. The Independent Living Service is a great way of helping people to stay independent and keep in control. It’s a service that is consistently praised by clients and professionals across the city.

We also support older people by helping them to regain their independence quickly following discharge from hospital, helping with tasks such as preperation of light meals and simple housework.

Who it is for:

To be elegible to receive the Independent Living Serivce the older person must be 50 or over and be resident within the Liverpool City boundaries and live alone or with a vulnerable carer or is at risk.

Where it is available:

Local service covering: Liverpool (Merseyside).

What it costs:

The service is free and there are no limits on the length of time clients can benefit from our support.
