What does it do?A welcome day out, making new friends, trying something new or a short break for carers.
Flexible arrangements to meet individual need whether for a short time or longer period. Offering support to people after coming out of hospital, having a stroke, being bereaved or feeling lonely and isolated at home. Giving carers a much needed break so they can enjoy their day knowing their loved one is with friends and in safe hands.
Day Opportunities is available at:
Cedar Grove in Wallsend, a purpose built centre
Open 8am to 8pm weekdays
Open 8am to 4pm weekends
Rowan Croft in Killingworth, located within a sheltered housing scheme
Open 8am to 4.30 pm weekdays
What is available to you?
Transport to and from the centre, including early drop off and late pick up
Breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea and refreshments plus our new 'take out service'
Facilities include:
- A beauty salon with hairdressing, massage, foot care and manicures
- Assisted bathing facilities
- Games room
- Internet Cafe
- A Multi purpose dinning room
- Fully equipped kitchen
- Garden and Patio area
You can choose from the following activities:
