Emergency social work service

What does it do?

The service operates Monday to Thursday 5pm to 9am and from 5pm Friday through to 9am Monday. Also during Bank and Public Holidays.
Requests for assistance are taken at a call centre, who immediately alert the duty social worker. Requests are prioritised by the duty
social worker. Although response times will vary, we aim to make an initial contact within 30 minutes.
The team consists of four experienced and qualified senior social workers. There is also a team manager to whom any comments or enquiries regarding the service can be addressed.
