What does it do?

The Meres Day Centre provides a range of services for older people living in north west Shropshire
The Day Centre offers:

Trained and Experienced Staff
Bathing service
Laundry service
Hairdressing service
Access to medical and professional services
Organised trips using the centre minibus to give opportunities otherwise unavailable to those living in the rural area
Opportunities to take up new or rediscover forgotten hobbies and interests
Commitment to Healthy Eating by the provision of well cooked and nutritionally balanced meals, Special diets catered for
Sun patio and a choice of lounges
Transport to and from the Centre can be provided from people’s homes in north west Shropshire

Who it is for?

Older people living in north west Shropshire from Welshampton in the east and Ruyton XI Towns and Baschurch in the south, including the
market towns of Ellesmere and Oswestry and their satellite villages.

Where it is available?

Local service (South Shropshire, Bridgnorth, North Shropshire, Oswestry, Shrewsbury and Atcham).

How to access or apply for it:

Day Care for six days a week,
Monday to Saturday and Bank Holidays.
Open from 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday
to Friday and 8.30am to 5.00pm Saturday.

What to expect then:

if you are interested in attending one of our centres, you will need to have an assessment by our Social Work Team. Our team will assess whether your needs will be best met by day care.
