What does it do?Aids for Daily Living

At Age UK West Cumbria we stock a wide range of mobility and disability equipment to assist people to remain independent.

We provide equipment from Bathing Equipment to Moving and Handling Equipment. Items such shoe horns, tap turners and chair raisers are also stocked.

These are available for self purchase or on a prescription issued by Occupational Therapists.

We also provide an assessment service. This allows a trained member of staff to assess your exact needs and provide you with advice on any equipment which may benefit you.

Cosy Feet

Whether your feet are swollen, misshapen or odd sizes, Cosy feet are extra roomy, comfortable shoes that fit feet other shoes can’t. They are recommended by over 9000 health professionals.

Age UK West Cumbria, Old Customs House, Whitehaven stock a variety of men’s and women’s shoes, boots and slippers in all sizes including half sizes.
