 | What does it do?Age Concern Buckinghamshire runs two Rural Day Centres to help overcome the major problem of isolation for those who are mentally frail. These are organised one day per week in both Wing and Steeple Claydon. Living in a rural area presents a distinct problem for older people, particularly because of poor access to public transport and basic services. |

Referrals are received from Adult Social Care, health professionals, carers and other agencies. Referrals may also be made directly to the service. | Where it is available: Local service covering: Aylesbury Vale, Chiltern, Milton Keynes, South Bucks, Wycombe (Buckinghamshire). | How to access or apply for it: There are also day centres and lunch clubs in other towns and villages around Bucks.
