What does it do?The services we provide

Information and Advice:

A wide range of information is available by telephone or from our Information Centre in Beverley.
A weekly information service is also provided in Cottingham at the Methodist Church every Friday between 10am and 11.30am

Fix It Team: Home maintenance and gardening services

For just £10 per hour one of Age Concern's fully police checked Handypersons will come out to tidy your garden, decorate, help you with small repairs and even clear your loft and help you pack or unpack on moving home. This is not just a one off service – you can book members of the team as often as you wish.

Befriending

A telephone Befriending Service is provided for carers and older people.

Internet Shopping

Apply to join our internet shoppers group and we will do all your shopping for you online, which will then be delivered direct to your home.

Library IT Training

Training session on the use of computers and IT.

Community Development

We support community groups to run drop-ins and help new groups get off the ground as well organising one off events to promote the goods and services that are available to people over 50.
