What does it do?Birmingham Shared Lives used to be called the Birmingham Adult Placement Service. We can provide the following.

Long-term accommodation with care and support.
Short-term accommodation with care and support.
Day support (which allows an adult with a disability to spend time
with an approved Shared Lives carer in their own home and in the
community).

Who it is for: We provide a home for people aged 18 and over who have a disability, and for older adults with care needs. You could live at the home or have day support.
Where it is available: Local service covering: Birmingham (West Midlands).
What it costs: There is a charge for using our service. The amount you will have to pay will depend on the sort of care you want to have. You will have to pay a different amount for long-term accommodation, short-term accommodation and day support.
