What does it do?The English National Concessionary Travel Scheme allows pass holders to travel for free on local buses during off-peak hours anywhere in England.
Lewes District passes can be used for journeys starting within the district between the 9am and 11pm weekdays and at any time during the weekend and Bank Holidays.
Outside the Lewes District different times are in operation. It is likely passes can only be used from 9.30am.
Visitors to the district holding passes issued by other councils can use them between 9.30 am and 11pm weekdays and at any time during the weekend and Bank Holidays. These off-peak house are set by the Government

Who it is for: You must be aged over 60 years old, or have a disability causing severe walking difficulty, be without the use of both arms, partially sighted or registered blind, profoundly or severely deaf, have a learning disability or be without speech, or be unable to drive a car for medical reasons. Proof of eligibility is required.

What to expect then: Passes are sent by post and should be received within 10 working days of us receiving your application. Unfortunately, you cannot collect a pass from our offices as they are produced by and dispatched direct from our specialist supplier.
Additional information: To apply, complete the Bus Application Form below and return along with one recent passport photograph, proof of address, and proof of eligibility. Once issued, a pass will be valid until the end of March 2011.
