 | Our Home Improvement Agencies are dedicated and committed to the provision of advice, support and assistance to vulnerable home owners and private sector tenants across all tenures who want to repair, maintain, improve or adapt their homes.
Unfortunately for most older and disabled people arranging and funding the necessary repairs or adaptations can prove to be a very complicated and distressing experience. Our HIA's can assist in addressing these needs. We can visit you in your own home and provide a free and confidential advisory service. We can advise and support you throughout the whole process of any repairs, improvements or adaptations to your home.
Our small household repairs service is aimed at doing all those small but essential jobs that you feel no longer able to manage and that will take no longer than 2 – 3 hours.
Working closely with Local Authority Community Safety Partnerships we also conduct home safety assessments and will supply and fit, free of charge, door chains, door viewers, window alarms and other items as appropriate.
Our Home Safety Service provides advice and equipment to help prevent falls in and around the home, fire safety and community alarms. After assessment we can also supply and fit smoke detectors free of charge.
Our Minor Adaptations Service undertakes minor works such as installing grab rails, stair / banister rails, external hand rails, wheelchair ramps and lever tap handles. |
