Age UK YorkAge Concern York - In Safe Hands Service

What does it do?After an initial home visit by one of the Care Organisers, we look for a volunteer to take the place of the carer so they can have a break. We offer companionship, preparation of simple meals, help with personal cares and simple moving and handling tasks.

Arrangements may be made to cover the day time or evening on an occasional or regular basis, night care, live-in care and pop-in visits, providing a suitable volunteer is available. All these arrangements take place in the older person's home.
