What does it do?Visiting support to people aged 55 and older in Islington with aim of maintaining independent living and sustaining tenancy. Service available for up to two years. Clients are assessed and allocated named worker who provides support through system of support planning. Support provided in a number of areas such as income maximisation, welfare benefit claims, budgeting, access to services such as homecare, meals-on-wheels, occupational therapy etc. Support to maximise independent living by accessing community services. Waiting list sometimes operates due to demand, but all clients assessed and prioritised according to need |
