Older Peoples Outreach Service (Camden Council)

What does it do?

It is a free outreach service to assist and support older people to remain independent in their own homes. This service is for Council and private tenants, owner occupiers and Housing Association tenants. Provides information on services available to improve older people's quality of life, particularly in areas around social, financial, housing, health and support needs. Gives advice and practical assistance including filling forms and helping with benefits claims and housing issues. Practical assistance can be given to those moving into sheltered housing.

Who it is for?

People who are are resident in Camden and are over 55 years old are in any type of housing apart from supported/sheltered housing. And it would would be of benefit to someone who is:

* finding it difficult to manage on their income
* living in housing no longer suitable to them
* at risk of becoming isolated
* curious about the services available in their local area
