What does it do?Sutton Staying Put is the London Borough of Sutton's accredited, non-profit making Home Improvement Agency. We provide valuable support services for older, disabled and other vulnerable people within the community to enable them to remain in the comfort and safety of their own homes:
  • Works closely with Residential Premises Section
  • Services are overseen by a multi-agency Steering Group, which includes service users' representation
  • Assess what needs to be done, gets specifications, discusses payment, advises on, and if applicable, makes grant applications to the local authority
  • Organises reputable builders and supervises the work, in order to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

Since 1995 the Agency has helped well over 3,000 homeowners with repairs and major renovation works to their properties. The Agency also works closely with the Sutton Occupational Therapy Section and has successfully adapted large numbers of properties to enable disable people to live more independently.
