What does it do?

We provide an independent, free tax advice service through our team of 420 volunteers operating throughout the UK.

Who it is for?

Older people on low incomes (less than £20,000 pa) who cannot afford to pay for professional advice.

Where it is available?

National service (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales).

What it costs:

The service is free.

    What to expect then:

    Most tax queries can be quickly dealt with on our helpline, but for more complex cases we can arrange a face to face meeting with one of our advisers.

    Additional information:

    Our service is provided by volunteers from the tax profession running surgeries at appropriate venues such as Age UK offices or Citizens Advice. Eligible clients can book an appointment via our national call centre.
