What does it do?The project aims to Improve the health & well-being of residents aged 50+ in the Penistone District through social, leisure & keep fit activities.
The project supports a wide range of volunteer led activities to suit the particular needs of the local population:

Walking Group
Line Dancing
Gardening Group
Agewell Centre
Open Tuesdays & Wednesdays – offers an opportunity in which, local housebound people can socialise in a homely environment through a range of stimulating activities.

We have a wide range of volunteering opportunities within the Penistone Project.

You can find out more about the project and other support available for older people at our information stand every Thursday at the Country Market held at St Johns Community Centre 10am to 12noon.
