BDHT Plus

What does it do?

bdhtplus is a community support service for people living in the county of Worcestershire who need some help with everyday things such as:

* dealing with household bills and letters
* staying healthy 
* finding hobbies and social activities
* managing money and making sure that benefits are claimed
* staying safe and secure
* managing cleaning and household tasks
* feeling involved with friends, family, neighbours and the community

Who it is for?

 It is mainly for people aged 60 and over in Worcestershire and is available to bdht customers, people living in council, Housing Association or private rented housing and home owners.  

Where it is available?

Local service (Malvern Hills, Worcester, Wychavon, Wyre Forest, Bromsgrove, Redditch).

What it costs:

The support service is charged at an hourly rate for the number of hours support received every week. People who are in receipt of Housing Benefit or Pension Credit will have their support paid for by the Supporting People grant that we get from Worcestershire County Council.

Office opening hours:
Monday – Wednesday, 8.30am until 5.30pm
Thursday, 8.30am until 7pm
Friday, 8.30am until 4pm

What to expect then:

Support time is from half an hour to three hours each week.  This can change from week to week, dependent on need.  We work with other agencies to make sure that people get the best support possible for as long as it is needed.
