Mobile Library and Library at Home services

Get the library to come to you anywhere in Cambridgeshire

What does it do?

Mobile Library Service

Cambridgeshire currently has three mobile libraries stopping at 364 locations in 85 villages and communities throughout the county. It’s a great place for catching up with friends and colleagues whilst supporting a local community resource.

We visit most locations once a month e.g. the first Tuesday of the month, and the service is free to use.

Find your nearest mobile library stop on our website.

Library at Home Service

A coordinator will contact you to discuss your needs and try to find a suitable Library volunteer to provide you with monthly visits, to bring you library books and audio books. The volunteer will also be able to bring you essential health information leaflets from national health campaigns (such as Winter Warmer packs etc.) and can bring you hearing aid batteries if you have a National Health hearing aid.

Both the Mobile Library and Library at Home services can deliver audio books.

Who it is for?

The county Mobile Library Service is for all residents. A separate service, the Library at Home Service, is for people who are housebound and have no one to visit the library for them.

Where it is available?
