Home owners, Private sector tenants, Housing association tenants | Ethnic / cultural aspects: Our service is available to all. A translation service is available via Language Line. | Where it is available: Local service covering: Hackney (Greater London). | What it costs: Advice and information is free.
Building works can be paid from Council grants, charitable applications, loans and equity release or self funded.
If the building works are eligible for grant then the agency fee can also be funded by grant. There is an agency fee for services we provide on privately funded building works which ranges between 5% and 15% of the total scheme cost. | How to access or apply for it: Telephone 0207 697 1030 or email mhihackneyenquiries@mearsgroup.co.uk or come to our offices. Please note we are on the first floor and there is no lift but if you cannot manage the stairs, ring the intercom and we will come downstairs to see you. | What to expect then: We will take basic details. Advice and information can be given over the telephone.
If you require assistance with home maintenance or an adaptation, our caseworker will arrange to visit you at home and explain all the steps in the process.
