What does it do?

The Centre offers activities every week day including an art club, exercise classes, IT facilities, bingo, outings and holidays. The Centre has its own hairdressing salon, snack bar, shop and library. Chiropody and assisted bathing services are also available.

Pop in and meet the staff and see what is on offer. If you phone first to arrange an appointment, staff can ensure they are free to show you round.

There are a wide range of events and activities  available at the Centre

Lunches are served every weekday. There is a choice of menu and members are charged £4.20 for a meal. If paid for separately, the cost is £3.40 for a main course and 80p for a dessert. Themed lunches are also arranged throughout the year.

The Men in Sheds project offers an opportunity to learn and improve woodworking skills in a sociable environment.

The computer suite is open each weekday 9.30am-3.30pm to all members of the general public. There is no charge to use the computers, apart from a nominal charge for printing and stationery. Sessions can be booked in advance and training is available. The public can use the internet, send an e-mail or use the computer to type a letter or document.

Wellbeing Centre

The Tandridge Wellbeing Centre is located at the Douglas Brunton Centre and is for people with dementia and their carers. It aims to link up existing dementia support services to provide a range of help and information.

You can drop by on Tuesdays between 2pm and 4pm when staff from the Alzheimer’s Society will be available to assist you. Alternatively you can book an appointment for any other time by calling 01883 347230.

Throughout the week a range of other services are available from the Wellbeing Centre including telecare demonstration, Alzheimer's Society peer support, equipment assessment and NHS memory services. To find out about relevant services and how you can access them, call 01883 347230.
