Adaptations support service in Hyndburn

What does it do?

We have staff who are trained Trusted Assessors with years of experience and can extend our flexible, customer led support service by ensuring that you get the right aids and adaptations for your needs.

As people age, their mobility deteriorates, going up/downstairs, getting in/out of the bath can become a problem.

This service will help to decide the best adaptations to accommodate needs e.g. installing a stair lift, redesigning the bathroom to accommodate a level access shower, widening doors, creating ramps or creating downstairs toilet.

The Technical Support Team is on hand to give advice on how best to carry out the adaptations and if an independent Occupational Therapist’s Report is required, they will provide a schedule of works. Caseworkers will send this out to tender to two tradesman and once the Tradesman has been agreed they will support you through the whole process. When completed Technical Support will inspect to ensure works have been completed as per the Schedule of works.   Major adaptations can help you to continue living independently.

Small Aids & Adaptation Service:

Homewise has become an accredited retailer and can provide all the disability aids you may require including being an NHS prescriptions supplier.  Let us know what you need
