Manager's notes:Annett House is the only purpose built Abbeyfield House in the Berkhamsted and Hemel Hempstead district. It was built in 1983 in Common Gardens, Potten End when the resident of nearby Pond Cottage donated half of her garden to the Society. The house has recently undergone further improvement and now contains ten two room suites to provide separate living and sleeping areas, all with en suite facilities and all of which are on the ground floor for easy access. Each of the suites have a door onto the grounds as well as a lockable door from the main house and apart from a fitted vanity unit with cupboards is unfurnished so that residents may provide their own selection of furniture and furnishings. The bathrooms contain a walk-in shower, toilet and hand basin with the exception of one bathroom which has recently been refurbished and contains a bath. A separate communal bathroom with a bath is available to other residents.
