AIMS - Advice Information and Mediation Service
The information AIMS provide is based on the relevant legislation and Codes of Practice and is designed to be suitable for all residents. Advice and information can by given by telephone or correspondence or you can email our advisers with specific queries. The service is offered without cost to residents of sheltered housing and is confidential. All enquiries will receive a response within 14 days.
AIMS is also a service for managers of sheltered housing and works closely with staff from Registered Social Landlords and Local Authorities as well as private management companies. AIMS uses impartial mediation to try to resolve disputes between sheltered housing residents or between residents and managers. AIMS also works to raise awareness of issues of good practice arising from its casework in order to prevent disputes.
