St Ives House care home in Dorset, recently installed a piece of pioneering technology to the home, ‘Tovertafel’. Tovertafel, or ‘magic table’ in Dutch, is an award-winning innovation from the Netherlands, which is renowned for its cutting edge approach to dementia care. The technology has been designed to help those with dementia to be more active, and create moments of happiness. The installation of the Tovertafel at St Ives House, will allow residents to play games, which are projected onto a table as light stimulations, including gardening, fishing and popping balloons."
